Find answers to common questions about how Credit Nigeria works, how we protect your data, and your rights as an applicant.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Your BVN is never stored in plain text. We use a one-way hash for duplicate detection only.
Your data is only shared with lenders you explicitly choose to apply to, plus our technology partners (Mono for bank verification, Supabase for data storage).
Application data is retained for 90 days (unmatched) or 1 year (matched/forwarded), then archived.
To exercise any of these rights, visit our Data Request page or email privacy@creditnigeria.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) at ndpc.gov.ng (opens in a new tab).
