Terms of Service
Effective Date: February 2026
Version: v1.0-2026-02
1. Service Description
Credit Nigeria is an independent loan comparison and matching platform. We connect loan applicants with licensed lending institutions in Nigeria.
Credit Nigeria is NOT a lender. We do not originate, underwrite, fund, or service any loans. Our sole function is to match your application profile with lender eligibility criteria and facilitate the introduction between you and a lender you choose.
2. Eligibility
To use the Credit Nigeria platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a current resident of Nigeria
- Hold a valid Bank Verification Number (BVN)
- Have no more than one active loan application at a time on our platform
By submitting an application, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above eligibility requirements.
3. User Obligations
When using our platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information in your loan application
- Maintain the confidentiality of your application access token and not share it with unauthorized persons
- Not submit duplicate or fraudulent applications
- Not provide false, misleading, or forged identity information (including BVN)
- Not attempt to circumvent any security measures implemented on the platform
4. Account and Access
Credit Nigeria does not require traditional user accounts with usernames and passwords. Instead, access to your application is managed through a unique, cryptographically generated UUID access token.
- Your access token is valid for 7 days from the date of application submission.
- The access token is included in all communication links (such as status check emails) and grants access to your application details.
- After token expiry, you will no longer be able to access your application through the platform. Contact us if you need to retrieve your application status after expiry.
5. Consent to Processing
By submitting a loan application, you explicitly consent to the following:
- Collection and processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy
- Sharing of your application data with the specific lender you select from the matched offers list
- Credit checks and identity verification conducted by your selected lender
- Cross-border data transfers to third-party processors located in the United States, as detailed in the Privacy Policy
- Receiving transactional communications: By ticking the combined communications consent box on the application form ("I agree to receive information and loan offers from Credit Nigeria via e-mail, telephone, WhatsApp and SMS"), you consent to receive operational updates and reminders about your application. SMS is the primary channel for these messages and is delivered by BulkSMSNigeria.com Ltd, a Nigerian SMS gateway; email is the automatic fallback when SMS is unavailable. You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message we send.
Your consent is freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting privacy@creditnigeria.com.
6. Lender Relationship Disclaimer
Credit Nigeria acts solely as a matchmaker between applicants and lenders. We are not a party to any loan agreement entered into between you and a lender.
- All loan terms, conditions, interest rates, fees, and repayment schedules are set exclusively by the lender.
- Credit Nigeria does not guarantee loan approval or any specific loan terms.
- Any disputes regarding a loan must be resolved directly between you and the lender.
- Credit Nigeria does not endorse, recommend, or guarantee the conduct, reliability, or creditworthiness of any lender partner.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, logos, trademarks, software, algorithms, and technology comprising the Credit Nigeria platform are the exclusive property of Credit Nigeria and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any of our intellectual property without our express written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Credit Nigeria shall not be held liable for:

- Service interruptions, downtime, or technical failures beyond our reasonable control
- Failures or outages of third-party services (including Mono, Supabase, OpenAI, Cloudflare, Resend, BulkSMS Nigeria, Upstash, and Vercel) -- including SMS delivery delays or failures attributable to Nigerian Mobile Network Operators (MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile)
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform
9. Service Availability
